Widener University strives to offer a supportive admissions process for the online Master of Social Work program — with no GRE/GMAT requirements. We’re here to answer your questions and guide you through each step of your online MSW application. There are three start dates per year, enabling you to begin the program on the schedule that works for you.

International Students
At Widener, you’ll become part of an empowering social work community that welcomes students from throughout the world. In addition to meeting the standard admission requirements, international students must provide a TOEFL score of 95 or higher.
Transfer Credits to Accelerate Your Education
Make the most of your educational experience by transferring up to nine graduate credits to the Regular Standing MSW program. If you earned a Bachelor of Social Work from a CSWE-accredited institution within the last six years, you can choose the Advanced Standing option, meeting the MSW degree requirements while waiving seven of the courses.
